The very name of the village suggests that large Bilovice one of the largest settlements in the former Břeclav estate. Their land is almost entirely non-forest, in areas predominantly flat arable land in the hilly part found mostly orchards and vineyards. In the Valley of Prušánky was built in 1984 by a large pond Bilovec Large (65 ha) is used to irrigate farmland and fisheries.


On the steep slopes above the pond and especially on the hill Zimarky (Hradištěk) are maintained drnových steppe vegetation with some protected species of plants (eg Katran Tartar). Existence of salt marshes around the village belong to the past, the last remnants of a less demanding plant species survive at the pond recently Fabiánek.


Bilovice large area of the village belongs to the very rich in archaeological findings. In addition to the Palaeolithic and the time period from the early Bronze Age wooden crate is on the bílovickém represented the primordial evolution, the Neolithic period and ending with the Slav, the ultimate medieval and Early Modern discoveries of archaeological sites.


The village itself was established along the creek called Jared, between two facing rows of rustic farmhouses to the north-west of the river Trkmanka. In the upper part of the village stands on a slight ridge Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary and in the opposite stood a small distance of the Renaissance fortress with economic backgrounds.

Great Bilovice City is located in the southeast corner of CR Břeclav district about 10 km north of the town. It lies on the boundary of adjacent regions, and The Lower valley of the Central Carpathians at an altitude of 188 m asl The highest point in the village is a hill 262 m above sea level Zímarky From this point of view is spectacular on its own community, but also on the west Pálava and lowlands along the river Thaya.


Due to its location in the fertile lowlands of South Moravia has village with 3800 inhabitants mainly agricultural character with a highly-developed viticulture and sadařstvím. Among the most important undertakings of the village include Vinopol (formerly wineries) and ZD Great Bílovice known primarily from the film trilogy Young wine, ripe wine, wine and Stormy.


Great Bilovice are ideal for cycling. All communications to the village is asphalt and also through the very community bike trail leads. Definitely worth visiting Big Pond Bilovec and elevated the northern part of the village with the town of wine cellars. The community can also make trips to the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve - hills, water tanks for New Mills, in a unique floodplain forest at the confluence of the Morava and Thaya, but also to the newly protected UNESCO World Heritage Site - Lednice-Valtice.


However, even very large Bilovice have a rich history and culture. An essential part of life is the observance of traditional folk customs. Representative of the richness of the region's local costume, classified Haná-Slovakia. The development of costume and earlier life in the village gives a comprehensive picture of history museum. The biggest festival of the village feast is today. Fall on the nearest Sunday after the feast of the birth of the Virgin Mary (8th 9th), patron of the local church. Day party takes place on the square from Sunday to Tuesday and this is the best time to visit the Great Bílovice. Great Bilovice belongs to the youngest cities - the city was commissioned in 2001.
